Hedi Slimane's exciting arrival as creative director at Yves Saint Laurent brings a very unique sophistication to the French brand. The designer brings his minimalist avant-garde style, and makes a daring name change to Saint Laurent Paris.

With the launch of his first YSL collection this fall, for spring/summer 2013, Slimane aims to change the name of his line to something more modern. Saint Laurent Paris will be the name given to collections created by Slimane. The accessories and cosmetics will continue under the iconic YSL brand name for now.
