Pirelli travelled to the Okavango delta in Botswana to create their new calendar. This year's top models include Rianne Ten Haken, Malgosia Bela, Mariacarla Boscono, Isabeli Fontana, Kemp Muhl and Daria Werbowy, who show us their wild, sensual side.

This time, the famous calendar was shot by Peter Hill Beard, a photographer who shot to fame with his photos of David Bowie, Iman and Veruschka. And Peter's passion for the fashion world is only matched by his passion for the animal world. That's why he decided to take his photography to wild parts of Africa - an area he's already familiar with from his work on elephants in southern Africa.

The Michelin calendar gave him the chance to bring together both passions, taking today's top models to the wildest parts of the African continent.

The result is a new collectors' item: the Pirelli calendar isn't famous just for its fantastic production, but also for how difficult it is to get your hands on one. So, good luck, and remember, ebay is usually a good place to look... And in the meantime, here are some making-of photos.
