YSL AUCTION Hedi Slimane Visions
| xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
On the 23rd of February over 730 art pieces belonging to Yves Saint Laurent will be auctioned. Pierre Bergé, YSL's inseparable partner, has decided to auction off the pieces that decorated the legendary designer's home. It is one of the most significant collections ever to be auctioned in Paris.
The collection features true artistic treasures such as pieces by Warhol, Goya, Cesanne, Giovanni Antonio Rimondi and Munch.
For the past year, prestigious auction house Christie's has been cataloguing each of the pieces to be auctioned, including oriental art busts and portraits of Moujik, the designer's dog, done by Andy Warhol.
It's a real treasure trove, with pieces from a range of eras united by the common denominator of style and YSL's good artistic taste.
Two months ago, Hedi Slimane helped out by doing a photo session in his house - a voyeur of the coveted pieces from his home that will go on auction.
