CEDRIC RIVRAIN The anatomy of fashion
| xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
The fashion world has become a recurring source of inspiration for the world of art and illustration. Some illustrators capture the essence of garments and render them timeless. Cedric Rivrain has become a top name in the fashion illustration world with his creations, which revolve around fashion.
French-born Cedric is currently exhibiting his work in Paris, until the 16th of June - at the Brachfeld gallery, 78 rue des Archives.
Cedric was hugely influenced by his mother, who loved fashion, and by his father, who was a doctor. The result? An artist with a fascination for fashion and the anatomy.
Rivrain has done sketches for Galliano and Martine Sitbon, and his work ranges from Sasha dressed in Prada, Kate Moss in a McQueen dress surrounded by flowers, to sensual female characters combining pieces by Comme des Garçons and Yves Saint Laurent.
