The Luxury Institute periodically bring us studies that evaluate which are the most luxurious brands in the world, where the best shopping experiences are and which brand offers the best added-value.
This time they travelled to Japan to find out which are the most luxurious brands in the land of the rising sun.
They carried out a survey in the luxury target market, and found that Hermés was the most luxurious women's brand in both pret-a-porter and accessories. The brand's style and Jean Paul Gaultier's work seem to have been welcomed with open arms in Japan.
Manolo Blahnik is the most luxurious shoe brand, while Salvatore Ferragamo is the most luxurious men's brand.
The results of the study seem to confirm that tradition and expertise are the true values of luxury, which gives a keen edge to brands that advocate tradition and true exclusivity.
