07/02/09 - Prestigious model Sasha Pivovarova often takes her sketch book to photo-shoots. During the photo-shoot for the Paris-Moscow collection, Karl Lagerfeld's creativity was the source of inspiration for one of Sasha's recent illustrations.

This isn't the first we've heard of Sasha Pivovarova's interest in illustrations. In fact, a few months ago, the prestigious model exhibited some of her pieces in London, which included some self-portraits. Sasha often takes her sketch book to photo-shoots. During the photo-shoot for the Paris-Moscow collection, Karl Lagerfeld's creativity was the source of inspiration for one of Sasha's recent illustrations.

Now, Chanel have officially launched her work. Sasha has said that the illustrations depict a series of fairies in a Russian theatre. Russian-born Sasha used icons and folklore from her country, as well as Karl's colour palette and prints.
