Vionnet is a classic brand, established in the early 20th century by Madeleine Vionnet. In the mid-seventies the designer died, and her brand died with her, but it left an inevitable legacy in the fashion world.

It was Madeleine's idea to use bias cuts in fashion, and 67 years later, in 2006, her brand came back to life. Having gone through a string of designers, the brand have brought in Rodolfo Paglialunga, who has been personal assistant to Miuccia Prada for the past thirteen years.

The brand, owned by Marzotto and Castiglioni, have got Paglialunga to leave the job he's had for over a decade, to revive the Greek essence that inspired Vionnet all those years ago. We'll leave you with their cruise collection, while we await their first show in Paris.
