We told you back in January that Louis Vuitton had been working on a clothes and accessories collection in collaboration with Yahoi Kusama. And here are the bags, dresses, trenchcoats, shoes, scarves and bracelets, all featuring the iconic polka-dot print of the Japanese artist.
Louis Vuitton's creative director, Marc Jacobs, has collaborated with Spruose, Richard Prince and Murakami on collections for the French brand, attracting new clientele to contemporary art. Kusama's hallucinations and obsessions usually come in the form of polka-dots, the driving force behind all of his works of art.
The 83-year-old arts will exhibit his fashion collection in collaboration with Louis Vuitton in July, in all the brand's stores. Focusing on his red and white polka-dots, he's designed dresses, skirts, pants, trenchcoats and t-shirts. He's reinvented Vuitton's classic bags and accessories with polka-dots and black patent leather, and he's created a line of shoes, scarves and bracelets, all covered in polka-dots. It's certainly an eye-catching range of designs.
