Last Thursday saw the release of the memoirs of Pedro García, founder of the luxury shoe brand for women. Guests of honor at the New York party included father and son Pedro García and the brand's co-director, their daughter and sister, Mila García.
In the book 'Three Generations of Shoemakers', the author talks of his identity as the sandwich generation of his own brand - between the artesan skills he learned from his father and the efforts that he and his his children have made in adapting to today's fashion industry. Since the brand was established in 1925, each shoe has been made by hand in the Alicante town of Elda in the south of Spain. And now, the Pedro García name is internationally recognizable, selling all over the world.
