To celebrate David Delfin's tenth anniversary, as well as presenting a fall/winter 2012-13 line in Cibeles that was perfectly true to his style and career path, the Spanish designer also brought us a short film starring his muse, Bimba Bosé, directed by her husband Diego Postigo, alongside cast members like Alaska, Rossy de Palma and Mario Vaquerizo.
Since he presented his first collection, Miracle Cut, David Delfín has been Spain's top underground designer. With a group of the country's most folkloric friends, the designer has continued to evolve and hone his style.
Inspired by Magrite y Buñuel, his new fall/winter line experiments with unique pieces that look like more than one garment. There are optical illusions like painted boots that look like shoes with white socks, one-piece dresses that seem to have a t-shirt underneath and pants that look like there's a shirt underneath. Louboutin are back to create the huge heels, while there are Dr. Martens boots for the boys and Pelayo Díaz from the blog Kate Loves Me designing the bags.
Cotton, wool and viscose come in a simple color palette of white, black, gray and navy with pink, strawberry, red and cream tones for some of the most special garments: a men's suit with a skinny tie and a long evening dress with a leather jacket, both with Swarovski crystals.
