Karl Lagerfeld has braved the current economic climate with his usual expertise, creating a collection featuring only black and white contrasts, in a clear reference to Hollywood glamour from the 30s and the fascinating world of origami.

It took over forty people working day and night to create 6000 amazing paper flowers.

The dresses were transformed into pieces of architecture, mixing with chiffon and camellias, the brand's emblematic flower and Coco Chanel's favourite.

Origami originates in Japan - that's why Karl worked with hair stylist and true artist Katsuya Kamo.

Lagerfeld's collection was all about exquisite details and the purity of white. As the collection moved onto evening dresses, black infused the papers, the bolero jackets and the legendary cold wool dresses.
