Lucas Ossendrijver sets aside his romantic essence and shows us the dark side of the Lanvin man. In previous seasons he focused on rich, exquisite, soft materials. The materials are still as great as ever this time, but they've taken on a more contemporary look - as a result of a street study carried out by the design team to analyse their target market's true needs.
Lucas defines his collection as the 'anti-uniform'. Though the new line leaves the brand's intrinsic romanticism behind, the setting chosen for the fashion show exudes the essence of 19th century cabarets.
Alber Elbaz, the brand's creative director, uses three words to define the collection: lightness, colour and desire. The grey and black colour palette features bright ruby and emerald tones too, the moustaches painted onto the models lent a naive touch.
Kimono shirts, small bow-ties, sportswear references, silk shorts... A mix between formal elegance and glamorous casual looks.
