While lots of brands are returning to their roots, Bottega Veneta are doing the opposite. Diverging from their classic elegance, Tomas Maier brings us an interesting rockabilly-influenced new creation.
Maier admits that the new line is more aggressive, and it looks like he's aiming at a younger market. But at no time does the designer sacrifice the brand's luxury essence. The color palette is vibrant with reds, purples and greens and references to a look that reigned in the sixties.
Denim combines with exquisite jackets, punk details and punk-inspired creeper shoes.
The silhouettes are extremely stylish, and the bags feature the brand's iconic intrecciato. The jacquard tuxedos and nubuck suede strike a luxury chord, reminding us that this collection is to be enjoyed close-up for its exquisite details.
