The J Brand collection for fall 2012 is both dark and direct. Donald Oliver, creative director of the American denim brand, has created a sophisticated range in basic colors that focuses on contrasts between textures and the dichotomy between masculine styles and feminine details.
Shiny and transparent materials are combined with simple structures, while pleated pants and jackets in clean lines are teamed with asymmetric blouses and knitwear. Ranging from leather to silk, cotton and wool, this collection is a perfect blend of basic lines and rich textiles, featuring a practically solid color palette of black, white, gray, silver and dark blue, with touches of khaki, cream, beige, olive green and brown.
