British designer Satyen Kumar Patel was one of the big names in Saint Martins School when he graduated in 2001. His work began to get recognised because of his men's collections for Versace, and just two years ago he decided to create his own brand.
For the spring summer 2009 collection, the designer took his inspiration from the legendary British playboys, elegant and eccentric in their blazers, stripes and prints.
The collection shows his fascination for classic British tailoring, in a field where a new wave of designers have managed to reinterpret elegance and heritage in interesting ways.
