Ricardo Tisci makes a radical change to his ad campaign cast: leaving aside his usual collaborations with Inez & Vinoodh, he brings us a striking campaign by Mert & Marcus. He decided, however, to stick with iconic model Mariacarla Boscono and with a similar production theme.
The campaign has a definite French accent and is really elaborate compared to his usual minimalism, with lots of colour. Tisci wanted to maintain the same Givenchy attitude, but to give it a touch of reality and take it outside the studio.
The location they chose was the Chateau de Ferrières, and the models include Leonor Scherrer, daughter of designer Jean-Louis Scherrer. Tisci has said that he finds Leonor quintessentially French with her dark, aristocratic elegance. The campaign also features Iris Strubegger, Ranya Mordanova and Adriana Lima, all taken out of their usual habitat.
While the ad campaign works its magic, Tisci is back designing new wardrobes for Madonna and Antony Hegarty.
