There seems to be no end to the collaborations between Kris Van Assche and artist Andrea Mastrovito. Not long ago, they created the interesting 'Butterflies' instalation for Dior Homme stores, flooding them with black butterflies - you probably remember seeing it on viewonfashion.com... And now the pair are back to create the Kris Van Assche winter 2009 campaign.
They wanted to leave photography aside this time, and instead use a series of dreamlike illustrations done in pencil.
The collection is set against a backdrop of fantasy, with scenarios such as an invasion of bats and the sun being captured. It's a fascinating project by this accomplished artist, who's surprised us again in collaboration with Kris Van Assche.
