La Perla have stayed in the sixties to create their spring/summer 2012 swimwear line. Taking inspiration from the bright colors of pop art and its most famous artists, the swimwear range is optimistic, energetic and frivolous. Andy Warhol and Mondrian are the point of departure for a collection of three parts: "Warhol, Mondrian & Co", "Bon Ton Sixties" and "Chic Sauvage". Each part of the line transports us to an iconic aspect of the decade, highlighting the glsmor of Hollywood stars and their vacations in Portofino.
Big flowers are a key feature of the line, printed on the lycra of the brand's swimsuits. And geometric lines with color contrasts are the basis of the range, with small feminine details like frills, tassels and pleats. Retaining a fresh, interesting look, no swimwear line has forgotten the animal print this summer. Silk and chiffon kaftans printed with antelopes and lycra swimsuits with snakeskin effects transport us to old-style Hollywood glamor and the euphoria of the pop decade.
