WALTER CHIN Marek and Ass.

Of Asian origin, fashion photographer Walter Chin was born in Montego Bay in the heart of Jamaica, and the View on Fashion team were lucky enough to work with him recently. He lived all his life in Toronto, until becoming a prestigious fashion photographer and inevitably making cities like Paris and New York his second homes.
His training was in the art world, graduating from the Ryerson school with a specialisation in contemporary painting - although he ended up doing a masters in photography, his true passion. Paris was the city where he began working as a photographer, although his career was consolidated in New York at the start of the 90s.
His photos are commonly seen on the cover pages of magazines like Elle, Allure, Uomo Vogue, GQ, Interview, Vanity Fair, etc… His sociable personality and his creative progression have made him a coveted photographer: let's not fool ourselves, it's just as important to be able to create as to understand and get feedback from clients. And so his portfolio is full of jobs for brands like Club Monaco, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Missoni, Lancome, L´Oreal, Movado and many more...
His passion for art is reflected in his photography books, which include Work in Progress (2001) and Nude (1995). And does he have any passion outside of photography? Cars with big engines...
