Malene Birger has created a stylish, sophisticated universe with her unique store concept. From black and white photos of celebs all over the walls to glass lamps hanging from the ceiling. They're not all new concepts, but the design and the northern European look give it a special touch.
Their flagship store is in the centre of Copenhagen, at number 10 Antonigade. The 460 square metres were decorated by Malene herself, in collaboration with the Danish architectural firm Space. The aim was to create a shopping experience full of personality.
The stairs are a key feature of the store - they're wide and versatile and full of gift boxes contrasting with the whites and blacks.
The store evokes the brand's sensitivity and their subtle sexy elegance, combining echos from the past with trends from the present. It stocks everything from the Danish designer's bags, shoes to her jewellery and eyewear. Oh, and the customers include the Danish royal family, who hire Birger to design exclusive pieces for them.
Though they've begun to expand internationally, you should really visit Copenhagen for a look at their flagship store's unique universe, the quintessence of classic northern European design.
