The legendary multibrand store in Dover Street, London, has expanded its horizons to Japan. Dover Street Market, created by Rei Kawakubo as a meeting point for designers from various backgrounds, has always been about new promise, brands with heritage and soul, and interesting brands oscilating between independent fashion and madness. Kawakubo has managed to unite a fascinating group of fashion lines and accessories, based solely on his unique personal vision. It's a chaos of beauty headed by some sub-brands of Comme des Garçons, the Japanese brand established by Rei himself.

The new market might be far from Dover Street, but it's just as fantastic, and at least three times bigger than its London counterpart. The six floors are impeccably decorated with a space for each designer. As well as Rei's babies - Comme des Garçons, Black Comme des Garçons, Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons, Beatles Comme des Garçons, Comme des Garçons Homme, Comme des Garçons Homme Deux, Comme des Garçons Shirt, Pocket Comme des Garçons and Comme des Garçons Homme Plus - the store houses cult brands like Bathing Ape, Thom Browne, Visvim, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens, Nike, Chrome Hearts, Alexander McQueen, Christopher Nemeth, Mackintosh, Michael Costiff´s World of Archive, Paul Harnden Shoemakers, Anna Demeulemeester, Adam Kimmel, Alexander Wang, Céline, Supreme, Marni, Undercover, 10 Corso Como, Azzedine Alaïa and Givenchy, as well as a special area for jewelry, books and sportswear.

Dover Street Market Ginza opens from 11 to 9 - the perfect place to visit after a day at work...
