Katie Eary's talent was instantly recognized after she graduated with a masters in fashion design from London's Royal College of Art. Her men's collections are daring and uncompromising, using typically feminine details she's roughly adapted to men's styles.
Accessories are a key features of all of Eary's collections, which tend to be based on hyperrealistic, fragmented prints. This spring/summer 2013, it's all about sea water, fish and octopus tentacles, combined with gold recoco decor details. Schools of fish, octopus and prints of typical orange fish scales innundate the garments with a mirror effect. T-shirts, swimsuits, long pants and neoprene sweaters come in maximalist looks finished with studded white sneakers, gold tooth-shaped pendants, huge white backpacks and fish-shaped keyrings.
Katie Eary also presented some women's swimsuits, using the same prints and accessorizing with black leather jackets on the catwalk. And there's a limited edition of skateboards too, featuring the same prints - they're available on her website for €345.
