Although we called the Louis Vuitton show the best show seen in Paris, we must say that Lanvin is the other big name for the coming spring. It was Alber Elbaz's best yet collection for the brand: he exquisitely injected it with volume, and used pure simplicity to create something truly majestic. The stars of the show are his structures and his fantastic, delicate shoes.

Rich colours and dynamism, mixing cat prints with yellows and corals. As Elbaz says, in these times of crisis, you have to give women something they can't resist - a dream. And that's what this collection is. Perhaps the conservative collections we've seen these past few days will be met by clients who see no reason to desire them... With Lanvin and Louis Vuitton, that simply won't happen.
