06/10/08 - Manolo Blahnik’s shop in Madrid is displaying the Manolos that star in SATC The Movie. We’re going to tell you some stories, some prices, and how the shoes appear in the film…

Manolo Blahnik is making the most of the release of Sex and the City the Movie. In fact, he owes a large part of his fame to Carrie Bradshaw. To celebrate the film release and get some publicity in the process, this month Blahnik’s shop in Madrid is exhibiting some of the shoes that we will see in the film, along with some of the icons that starred in the 10 years of the series.

For example… in the film, Mr Big will propose to Carrie in Blahnik shoes, more specifically the Hangisi model, in electric-blue silk with a 9 cm heel… And her brooch? Made from Swarovski crystals.

In this interesting display, we will also be able to see models like Milas, made with black suede and fuschia designs, or Bebek, which you probably already know - it’s the model Carrie Bradshaw wears on the film poster. If the Manolos were another star in the series, the exhibition shows us they’ve become a key ingredient of the film. Some trivia? The Milas model costs 575 dollars, while the Hangisi model, a total classic from the film, costs 895 dollars, although many of you will wonder why Carrie Bradshaw mentions to her friends in one scene of the film that the shoes cost 525 dollars… Does Carrie have exclusive prices?
