'Where the Wild Things are' is the new fantasy film directed by Spike Jonze. It was inspired by the illustrated work of Maurice Sendak and it recounts a child's fantasy in an imaginary world full of monsters.
And now, those same imaginary monsters have inspired the new collection by Opening Ceremony.
The line is a tribute to the film, and many of the garments were created in collaboration with Jonze. As they say at Opening Ceremony, there's a wild side inside each one of us, and this collection brings the wildness out with striking long-haired coats that look like monsters.
Reversible waistcoats, dresses, coats, jackets and even biker jackets all emulate the textures of the fantastic monsters from the film. The pieces are selling at between $200 and $800. Monsters have never been so stylish...
